Sacramento CA, March 22, 2004 -
MINDSET SOFTWARE ANNOUNCES THAT SCPIII goes LIVE on Mactive at CEDAR RAPIDS.
After the decision was made to go with SCPIII, Mindset had it completely operational in under 6 weeks. Being front-end independent software, SCPIII was running on both their old and new systems making the transaction process incredibly smooth. Even with the offer for PageLayout at no cost, the 12 members of the pagination team voted unanimously 12-0 for SCPIII over PageLayout.
“PGL seems immature and needs work. It uses an exporter to bring the ads in from Mactive, so it isn’t a live replication as it is with SCPIII. Also, we're pleased to provide superior support then offered with PGL.” states Patrick Tully, Mindset Software President.
The pagination team was impressed with the multiplier function in SCPIII that allows you to select a factor to add or subtract from the section to loosen or tighten it, so as to save space or lessen the use of house ads. Another benefit to SCPIII over PGL was that it does a lot of zoning, which PGL does not handle well.
Overall, Cedar Rapids was extremely pleased with it’s new World Class Pagination.
